About Hockit

We have invested a lot of time and money into getting the Hockit toolbox  Pack dialed into its current state, an amazing prototype. We’ve finalized these prototypes.   We couldn’t be more excited about the next part of the journey.

If I am to exceed my goal,  we can get our production started and on the market.

As lifetime hockey enthusiasts and hockey dad, I have always complained that there was no great option for hockey players that matched our unique needs.

I decided to take matters into my own hands. What began as a dream and a piece of wood prototype idea (1), has transformed into an undertaking more exciting and immense than I have ever imagined.(2)

In order to better understand the nature of the hockey toolbox, one has to remember or imagine oneself being at a hockey tournament with a child playing against the strongest team in the tournament. It is the first period of the game and your child’s team is in the lead. All of a sudden, your child breaks his/her hockey stick and has no spare. As a parent, you have to quickly get a new hockey stick. Your child wants to go back on the ice and play the last period, at least. However, the sport store is a few miles away and traffic in town is congested. Your child is with you, dressed in full hockey gear, with the skates off, and telling you what you need to buy. When the new hockey stick is found, there is no one at the store to cut the handle to the proper length. Hockey sticks must be trimmed exactly to suit the arm’s length, the height and age of the player. The blade must be wrapped very precisely, in a scrim-like grip tape, a covering tape and waxed between and over the tapes. Some players like their hockey stick to be taped in white; others prefer black tape, depending upon the stick of their hockey stars for example. You finally return to the arena with a new hockey stick and an assortment of wax and tape, hoping to find another parent who has a hand saw in his/her car that you can borrow. However, you cannot find another parent that has a hand saw to cut the stick to the proper length. Your child is upset; his/her team is losing the game, and you are being blamed by the entire team for their loss.

The present hockey toolbox has been designed to avoid such a scenario. The present hockey toolbox has been designed to be sold at a sport store in the hockey stick section. The toolbox contains all that one needs to trim a hockey stick to length and to tape the blade to satisfy every preference.

The mini-hacksaw is another innovative product Hockit will release.

Hockit will also include hockey wax, hockey tape and hockey grip tape .

As well as a marker to number the stick with the player’s number on the handle for fast paste stick identification during the games.
